A couple of lessons learned over the last 2 days (clicking on pictures will take you to the listings):
~ Sea Therapy Soap - when made with powdered kelp stinks like a fish market in a 100 degree afternoon. Not pretty. When made with sea clay, sea salt and scented with Ocean Breeze smells sooo much better. And it looks great too!
~When using bath melts, bath oils or other tub slicking products, it is always a good idea to use liberal amounts of scrubbing bubbles, vinegar or other surface cleaning product, followed by an equally liberal spray down with water as hot as you can make it come out of your pipes. Bleach water burns your skin - even if it strips the oils off your tub, it will strip the oil out of your skin as well!
~Wearing tennis shoes 12-16 hours a day every day for a week will do horrible things to your feet. Not wearing them and working on a tile floor standing on your feet during those 12-16 hour days will do horrible things to your back.
~Tea Tree and Peppermint Body Frosting is a great healer and a must for every medicine cabinet. Tea Tree Oil is a natural antibacterial, anti-fungal, and all around good for your skin oil. Combined with Peppermint it acts as an anti-inflammatory, soothing skin cream for all itchy, blistery, chaffed, chapped skin. We should probably list it in the shop. I use TT&P soap and frosting almost daily on my feet and its great! My skin really misses it when I don't use it.
~Working on your own sucks, and its so good to have a partner to share the workload with. There are bumps in the road and a lot of tension can be created when working with a partner, but the benefits tend to outweigh the sticking points.
In other news...we are no longer carrying shea butter soaps in preparation for carrying cp shea butter soaps later - so we are down to what we have made...
they can be found here, marked down 50% for quick sale so we can get them gone. And remember, every $ spent gets you an entry into our Start Spring with a Starter Set give away that ends in 2 weeks.
